encore campSummer Performance CampA musical theater camp for kids entering grades 3-7
Join us in 2008 as we prepare and perform a special age-appropriate adaptation of The Wizard of Oz. Campers will learn and rehearse the show, help make simple scenery, and decide upon costuming. Every summer, our audience is amazed at how much the campers can accomplish in one brief week of camp and the final performance is always a delight.
Campers learn several songs and choreography for the performance. Their need to memorize lines is reduced by the use of narrators who act as storytellers. All campers will be provided with a practice CD before camp begins so they can start learning the songs at home. Auditions are held on Tuesday and everyone will be cast in a role and often two. All campers need to bring is a desire to perform. “Miss Carol” will bring the snacks! Summer 2008 schedule:
