The Olam Tikvah Chorale is a friendly, welcoming, adult volunteer choir in the heart of Fairfax, VA.
The Chorale rehearses weekly and performs at community and synagogue events. Carol is the founding and current musical director. Rehearsals are held at Congregation Olam Tikvah, 3800 Glenbrook Rd, Fairfax, VA on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 pm to 9 pm, with a break at 8 pm during minyan. Membership in the Chorale is open to all who can sing tunefully. No experience necessary. Ability to read music is helpful but not required. OT Chorale singing Tzadik Katamar Play Song | Stop The focus is on contemporary liturgical music but the group also sings Israeli songs, holiday songs, “traditional” tunes... and will perform a medley from "Wicked" this fall. Some choirs disband in the summer. The Olam Tikvah Chorale, however, has too much fun to take the entire summer off so the group meets about twice a month through the summer. If you ever had an interest in choral singing, this might be a perfect time to give it a try. For more information about joining the OT Chorale at any time, come to a Tuesday evening rehearsal or, better yet, let Carol know of your interest.
